Meet the GGA Team
Roberto Llamas
Roberto is the founder of Golden Glove Academy. He is currently a goalkeeper at the professional level and a professional goalkeeper coach as well. He has over 10+ years of coaching experience and specializes in goalkeeper development of all ages. He has trained goalkeepers from youth, college, semi professional, professional, senior national team, and world cup levels. With his experiences he has gathered from playing professionally along with coaching for multiple top youth clubs, colleges, NCAA universities, and professional organizations he and the rest of his personally trained coaching staff offer the highest quality of sessions in the greater Northern California.
Jay Roundtree
Coach Jay brings a decade of coaching experience specializing in goalkeepers. Growing up in Northern California, he played ODP regional, NPL, as well as MLS Next for the San Jose Earthquakes Academy. He played NCAA Division 1 soccer at the University of San Francisco for four years while also training at the USL level during the summers. His energy and knowledge of the game is incredibly beneficial to our clients!
Elizabeth Todd
Coach Eliza started as an elite GGA client in high school who played ECNL, PDP, ODP, and State Team before going on to play at and graduate from NCAA D1 University of Montana. Now that she has transitioned to the goalkeeper coaching ranks, she has become a vital member of the Golden Glove Academy team. She currently coaches with Pleasanton RAGE and the RAGE USL team while also being the goalkeeper coach at NCAA D2 Academy of Art University and Bishop O’Dowd High School.
Thomas Grimes
Coach Thomas comes to Golden Glove bringing a wealth of experience at both the youth and collegiate levels. Thomas is a current Division I goalkeeper at Cal, where he has been under the guidance of legendary goalkeeper coach, Henry Foulk. Thomas also has experience playing in England and Spain. Born and raised in the Napa Valley, Thomas is committed to using his experience and knowledge to help develop high quality goalkeepers in the NorCal region to follow in his footsteps and beyond.
Romello Fulcher
Coach Romello was born and raised in Oakland California. He grew up playing for local club AFC and the Northern California Olympic Development Team (ODP). He received All-City & All-State Goalkeeper of the Year honors at Skyline High School while also winning the OAL & CIF during his time there. He currently plays Semi Professional Soccer locally as he continues to his path to pursuing a professional soccer career. His knowledge, personality, and soccer experience have make him a key piece in the Golden Glove Team.
Colin Nestor
Colin comes to GGA bringing a European style of goalkeeping to the company. Born and raised in France, he grew up in the academy of French legends, Saint-Étienne. He has experience in 4th and 5th division in France and would train as a client with Golden Glove when visiting his family during the holidays. He now has brought his talents to Chabot College in Hayward and is excited to pass on his knowledge to our clients.
Erik Ornellas
Coach Erik is a Bay Area native who grew up playing youth soccer for Walnut Creek Surf and De La Salle High School before going on to play and captain the San Francisco State University Mens Soccer Team. Erik brings valuable coaching experience from years of playing at the top levels as well as working with goalkeepers of all ages and ability levels. Erik has served as the goalkeeper coach for Livermore Fusion SC, San Ramon FC, and at his alma mater with the De La Salle Varsity soccer team.
Calvin Dang
A San Francisco native, coach Calvin grew up playing for top Bay Area club San Francisco Glens SC. During his time at Glens and Washington High School he trained vigorously with Golden Glove Academy and showed great improvement in his goalkeeping and leadership skills. As he transitioned to college he joined the Golden Glove Academy Team and is currently a member of one of the top CCCAA mens soccer teams, San Francisco City College. Much like our other coaches, outside of being a student-athlete he coaches and inspires many of our young clients to help them achieve their goalkeeping goals.
Dode Sanjaya
Coach Dodé, who also started as a GGA elite client grew up playing soccer in Indonesia. With his great worth ethic and perseverance his transition to the US soccer world was effortless. He currently plays NCAA Division 1 soccer at St. Mary’s College of CA and in his off time uses his skills and knowledge to help inspire and coach youth goalkeepers at Golden Glove.
