ROBERTO LLAMAS
Founder & Owner | Head Goalkeeper Coach | Professional Goalkeeper
Roberto Llamas is the founder and owner of Golden Glove Academy, established in 2018, and an active professional goalkeeper with extensive playing and coaching experience across multiple countries around the world.
Throughout his career, Roberto has competed in multiple professional first divisions, earning Goalkeeper of the Year honors, Best XI selections, and individual recognition for his performances. His experience includes professional football in the United States, El Salvador, Asia, & stints in Europe. As the driving force behind Golden Glove Academy, Roberto has developed the academy’s goalkeeper training philosophy, development curriculum, and coaching methodology. Built around the demands of the modern game, GGA’s training model combines technical development, tactical understanding, physical preparation, and decision-making to prepare goalkeepers for every level of competition.
Under his leadership, Golden Glove Academy has grown into an international goalkeeper development network, training over 500 goalkeepers annually and 1000+ private sessions each year. The academy has worked with youth prospects, collegiate athletes, and more than 50 professional and national team goalkeepers.
Roberto continues to bring firsthand professional playing and coaching experience into the academy’s curriculum, ensuring that GGA’s coaching staff delivers a consistent, high-level training environment grounded in the demands of competitive football.

Colin
French goalkeeper coach with international playing experience and a background training top youth to MLS, professional, and national team players.
Originally from France, coach Colin brings an international playing background and high-level coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed within the French football system, Colin spent time in the academy of AS Saint-Étienne, before transitioning into senior football. He competed at the French fourth and fifth division levels before continuing his career in the United States. He later represented Chabot College and NCAA Division II Dominican University.
As a coach, Colin has worked with goalkeepers from all levels, including youth national team, MLS Next, NCAA, professional, MLS & national team representatives. He has also contributed to the Path2Pro Combine, supporting player development and evaluation in a professional scouting environment.
At GGA, Colin combines his European football background with experience coaching high-level athletes to deliver technically detailed, position-specific training. His approach emphasizes precision, tactical understanding, and the standards required to succeed at the next level.
Isaac
Belizean international goalkeeper with experience representing his country at the youth and senior national team levels, bringing an international playing background and high-level training standards to GGA.
Originally from Belize, coach Isaac brings international playing experience and a strong competitive background to Golden Glove Academy.
Having represented Belize at both youth and senior national team levels, Isaac has competed on the international stage and served as captain of the Belize U-20 National Team. He later continued his playing career in the United States, competing at the collegiate level with Lincoln University in Oakland.
Through his international and collegiate career, Isaac has developed firsthand experience with the technical, tactical, and mental demands of high-level goalkeeping.
At GGA, Isaac combines his international playing background with a modern, position-specific approach to goalkeeper development. His coaching emphasizes technical precision, decision-making, confidence, and the competitive standards required to perform at higher levels.
Liz
Professional Women’s goalkeeper currently competing in Cyprus’ First Division, with playing experience across Europe and at clubs competing in UEFA Champions League and Europa League competitions.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Coach Elizabeth (Liz) brings an extensive international playing background and high-level coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
A graduate of Bishop O’Dowd High School, Eliza continued her playing career at the NCAA Division I level before transitioning into professional football in Europe. She has competed professionally in France and Romania and currently plays in Cyprus’ First Division.
Alongside her international career, Eliza has represented Pleasanton RAGE in the USL W League and the San Francisco Nighthawks, further strengthening her experience across American and European football.
As a coach, Eliza holds a U.S. Soccer C License and has worked with goalkeepers across collegiate and elite youth environments, including the Academy of Art University, Chabot College, Pleasanton RAGE, and Bishop O’Dowd. She has also contributed to the Path2Pro Combine, supporting player development and evaluation in a professional scouting environment.
At GGA, Eliza combines her European professional playing experience with an established coaching background to deliver technically detailed, position-specific training. Her approach emphasizes technical precision, tactical awareness, and the competitive standards required to perform at the highest levels.
Carlos
NCAA Division II goalkeeper coach with experience across collegiate and USL League 2, specializing in elite goalkeeper development and professional-level training.
Originally from Patterson, California, Coach Carlos brings an extensive collegiate playing background and high-level coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
A former Cal North ODP and Patterson High School standout, Carlos continued his playing career at NCAA Division II Cal State East Bay, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He later completed a master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University Irvine.
Since 2022, Carlos has served as the men’s and women’s goalkeeper coach at Las Positas College, developing goalkeepers who have earned multiple All-Conference selections, Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year awards, and regional recognition.
His coaching experience extends into the NCAA and professional development environments, including roles with USL League Two club Academica SC and, most recently, NCAA Division II Menlo College.
At GGA, Carlos works extensively with elite youth, collegiate, and professional goalkeepers, including leading the academy’s Elite Training Groups and working with professional players during their offseason preparation. He has also contributed to the Path2Pro Combine, supporting player development and evaluation in a professional scouting environment.
Combining his academic background in kinesiology with experience across multiple levels of competitive soccer, Carlos emphasizes technical precision, tactical awareness, and position-specific development to prepare goalkeepers for the demands of the next level.
Alexia
Former starting goalkeeper for the Guatemala Women’s National Team and NCAA Division I goalkeeper at the University of San Francisco, bringing extensive international experience to GGA.
Born and raised in San Francisco, coach Alexia brings an extensive international playing background and elite-level goalkeeping experience to Golden Glove Academy.
A former NCAA Division I goalkeeper at the University of San Francisco, Alexia went on to establish herself as the longtime starting goalkeeper for the Guatemala Women’s National Team, representing her country for multiple years at the international level.
Throughout her international career, Alexia competed against some of the region’s top national teams, gaining valuable experience in high-pressure environments and developing a strong understanding of the technical, tactical, and mental demands of international football.
At GGA, Alexia draws on her years of international competition and collegiate experience to deliver high-level, position-specific goalkeeper training. Her coaching emphasizes technical precision, positioning, decision-making, and the confidence required to perform under pressure.
Having competed at both the NCAA Division I and senior international levels, Alexia brings firsthand knowledge of the standards required to succeed at the highest levels of women’s football.
Alejandro
Former NCAA Division I goalkeeper with coaching experience across collegiate soccer, USL League Two, and elite youth development, specializing in preparing goalkeepers for the college pathway.
A former NCAA Division I goalkeeper at the University of San Francisco, coach Alejandro brings an extensive collegiate playing background and high-level coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
Alejandro currently serves as the goalkeeper coach at Skyline College, San Francisco Elite’s WPSL program, and the San Francisco Glens USL League Two men’s team. His coaching background also includes experience with the University of San Francisco women’s soccer program.
Beyond the collegiate and pre-professional levels, Alejandro serves as Goalkeeper Director for San Francisco Elite Soccer Club, overseeing goalkeeper development and helping prepare aspiring players for higher levels of competition.
Through his extensive involvement in collegiate soccer, Alejandro has developed strong recruiting connections with established university programs, including the University of San Francisco, UC Berkeley, and Santa Clara University. His experience provides valuable insight into the college recruitment process and the standards expected of prospective student-athletes.
At GGA, Alejandro combines his NCAA Division I playing experience with a comprehensive coaching background to deliver technically detailed, position-specific goalkeeper training. Born and raised in San Francisco, coach Adan brings a strong competitive playing background and firsthand experience in goalkeeper development to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through the San Francisco soccer community, Adan competed with SF Glens MLS NEXT, gaining experience against some of the top youth talent in the country. He later continued his playing career at NCAA Division II CSU Monterey Bay before joining Skyline College.
Having developed as a goalkeeper within Golden Glove Academy himself, Adan understands the training environment, technical standards, and commitment required to progress through competitive youth and collegiate soccer.
At GGA, Adan combines his playing experience with a strong understanding of the academy’s training methodology to deliver focused, position-specific goalkeeper development. His coaching emphasizes technical fundamentals, decision-making, consistency, and the work ethic required to succeed at higher levels.
As both a former GGA trainee and current coach, Adan brings a valuable perspective to helping the next generation of goalkeepers navigate their own development pathways.
Jaiyah
CCCAA Goalkeeper of the Year and California state Final Four competitor, bringing international playing experience and a strong foundation in youth goalkeeper development to GGA.
Originally from New York and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, coach Jaiyah brings an international playing background and a strong passion for youth goalkeeper development to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through Bay Oaks’ Development Academy program, Jaiyah attended Berkeley High School before continuing his playing career in Spain with FC Odisea. He later returned to California, where he currently competes for Santa Rosa Junior College.
During his collegiate career, Jaiyah earned Goalkeeper of the Year honors and helped lead Santa Rosa Junior College to the California state Final Four, gaining valuable experience in high-level competition.
Alongside his playing career, Jaiyah has developed his coaching experience at GGA, primarily working with youth goalkeepers while also assisting with the Path2Pro Combine and the academy’s professional offseason training sessions.
At GGA, Jaiyah combines his competitive playing background with an energetic, development-focused coaching approach. He emphasizes strong technical fundamentals, confidence, coordination, and decision-making, helping young goalkeepers build the foundation needed to progress through the game.
Erik
Former NCAA Division II goalkeeper and team captain at San Francisco State University, with extensive experience coaching youth and competitive goalkeepers throughout the Bay Area.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, coach Erik brings a strong collegiate playing background and extensive youth goalkeeper coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through Walnut Creek Surf and De La Salle High School, Erik continued his playing career at NCAA Division II San Francisco State University, where he served as captain of the men’s soccer team.
Following his collegiate career, Erik transitioned into coaching, working with goalkeepers across competitive youth and high school environments. His coaching background includes experience with Livermore Fusion SC and the De La Salle varsity soccer program, where he returned to help develop the next generation of players.
Erik currently serves as a goalkeeper coach at San Ramon FC, continuing his involvement in competitive youth development throughout the Bay Area.

Edwin
NPSL National Champion with El Farolito and former collegiate goalkeeper at City College of San Francisco, bringing competitive playing experience and a strong foundation in youth development to GGA.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Edwin brings a strong competitive playing background and a passion for youth goalkeeper development to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through the San Francisco soccer community, Edwin progressed through the ranks with the San Francisco Seals before continuing his playing career at City College of San Francisco. His experience also includes competing with El Farolito, where he became an NPSL National Champion.
Through his experience in collegiate and national-level competition, Edwin developed a strong understanding of the technical, tactical, and mental demands of competitive goalkeeping.
Alongside his playing career, Edwin has gained valuable coaching experience working with young athletes throughout San Francisco, helping them develop the fundamentals and confidence required to progress through competitive soccer.
At GGA, Edwin combines his playing background with a development-focused coaching approach, emphasizing technical consistency, positioning, discipline, and decision-making. His experience progressing through the local soccer system allows him to connect with young goalkeepers and help prepare them for the next stages of their development.
Jacob
NCAA Division II goalkeeper at Cal State East Bay with collegiate playing experience and a strong background in youth goalkeeper development throughout the East Bay.
Born and raised in Fremont, California, coach Jacob brings a strong collegiate playing background and a passion for youth goalkeeper development to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through Newark FC and American High School, Jacob continued his playing career at Chabot College before earning the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Division II level with Cal State East Bay. Alongside his athletic achievements, he graduated from Chabot College with highest honors, earning an associate degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Kinesiology.
Jacob began his coaching career working with youth goalkeepers at Newark FC before joining Hayward Youth Soccer Club as a goalkeeper coach in 2024. Through these experiences, he developed a strong foundation in technical instruction and working with goalkeepers at different stages of their development.
At GGA, Jacob combines his collegiate playing experience with a strong understanding of youth goalkeeper development to deliver focused, position-specific training. His coaching emphasizes technical fundamentals, confidence, coordination, and the work ethic required to progress through competitive soccer.
Orion
Internationally experienced goalkeeper and UEFA-qualified coach with a background in European football and youth academy development in England.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, coach Orion brings an international playing background and European coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through Walnut Creek Surf, Orion continued his football career in England, where he pursued his education while competing with Richmond International Academy. His experience within European football provided valuable exposure to competitive training environments and the technical and tactical demands of the game.
During his time in England, Orion earned his UEFA Level 1 coaching qualification and gained experience coaching with Calcio, a private football academy focused on developing young players within England’s competitive youth football system, including pathways toward Premier League academies.
At GGA, Orion combines his European playing background with international coaching experience to deliver focused, position-specific goalkeeper training. His approach emphasizes technical precision, positioning, decision-making, and the discipline required to progress through competitive football.
Through his experience both playing and coaching abroad, Orion brings an international perspective to goalkeeper development, helping young athletes build the technical foundation and competitive mentality needed to reach higher levels.
Louis P
Oakland-raised goalkeeper coach with Juventus Academy experience and championship-winning success as both a player and coach, specializing in youth goalkeeper development.
Born and raised in Oakland, California, Coach Jose (Louis) brings a strong competitive playing background and extensive youth coaching experience to Golden Glove Academy.
Developed through Oakland Soccer Club, Louis spent much of his youth career competing at the club level, including two years with Juventus Academy. He later represented Skyline High School, earning two All-City Honorable Mention selections and helping lead the program to an Oakland Athletic League Championship.
Following his playing career at Skyline, Louis returned to his alma mater as a coach, helping guide the program to another Oakland Athletic League Championship. His experience on both sides of the game has given him a strong understanding of player development, team leadership, and the demands of competitive youth soccer.
Louis has also remained active as a player with Oakland Soccer Club’s Men’s Development Team, continuing to build on his technical and tactical understanding of the game.
At GGA, Louis combines his playing and coaching experience with a development-focused approach to goalkeeper training. Working with goalkeepers across different ages and ability levels, he emphasizes technical fundamentals, positioning, confidence, and discipline while helping young athletes build a strong foundation for long-term development.
Victor
Two-time national champion with playing experience across the UPSL, NPSL, and NISA, bringing a competitive background and a technical approach to youth goalkeeper development.
Born and raised in Oakland, California, Coach Victor brings an extensive competitive playing background and a strong passion for goalkeeper development to Golden Glove Academy.
A Salvadoran-American goalkeeper developed through Oakland Select, Victor progressed through multiple levels of American soccer, competing in the UPSL, NPSL, and NISA. Throughout his playing career, he has been part of two national championship-winning teams, gaining valuable experience in highly competitive environments.
Alongside his experience at the national and semi-professional levels, Victor continued his collegiate playing career at Foothill College, further developing his technical and tactical understanding of the goalkeeper position.
At GGA, Victor draws on his diverse playing background to deliver energetic, technically focused goalkeeper training. His coaching emphasizes positioning, footwork, shot-stopping, and decision-making while helping goalkeepers develop the confidence and discipline required to compete at higher levels.
With experience across multiple levels of the game, Victor brings a practical understanding of goalkeeper development and a strong ability to connect with young athletes, helping them build the technical foundation and competitive mentality needed to progress.
Alex
Internationally experienced goalkeeper coach with playing experience in Spain and USL League Two, alongside an extensive NCAA Division II playing and collegiate coaching background.
With an international playing background and extensive collegiate coaching experience, Alex Renderos brings a high-level approach to goalkeeper development at Golden Glove Academy’s Southern California branch.
Alex gained valuable international experience competing in Spain’s fourth division, alongside playing experience in USL League Two in the United States. He later continued his collegiate career at NCAA Division II Cal State East Bay and Stanislaus State, developing a strong technical and tactical foundation across multiple competitive environments.
Following his playing career, Alex transitioned into collegiate coaching at Stanislaus State, where he spent three years developing goalkeepers at the NCAA Division II level. He later returned to Southern California, joining the coaching staff at Cal State San Bernardino as an assistant and goalkeeper coach.
At GGA, Alex combines his international playing background with extensive NCAA coaching experience to deliver focused, position-specific goalkeeper training. His approach emphasizes technical precision, positioning, intensity, and decision-making, preparing goalkeepers for the demands of higher-level competition.
As GGA’s Southern California coach, Alex brings the academy’s established training methodology and professional standards to goalkeepers throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding communities.
Sierra
International professional soccer player and former U.S. Youth National Team representative with playing experience across North America, Europe, and Asia, bringing a global perspective to GGA’s operations, media, and athlete development.
Originally from Kihei, Hawaii, Sierra Castles brings an extensive international playing background and a strong understanding of high-level football to Golden Glove Academy.
Former U.S. Youth National Team pool, Sierra has built a diverse playing career across multiple countries, competing professionally in Singapore, the Philippines, Greece, El Salvador, and Mexico. Her experience in the United States also includes representing Oakland Soul in the USL W League and trialing with NWSL club San Diego Wave FC.
Beyond traditional professional football, Sierra has competed in The Soccer Tournament (TST), the high-profile million-dollar competition, and the Queens League in Mexico, where she won the championship with Galácticas del Caribe.
Having experienced different football cultures, professional environments, and competitive systems around the world, Sierra brings a valuable international perspective to GGA.
As Director of Operations & Media, Sierra supports the academy’s organizational development, digital presence, and day-to-day operations. Combining her professional playing experience with her understanding of athlete development, she helps strengthen GGA’s connection with its athletes, families, and growing international community.
