Our Story
Golden Glove Academy was founded in California in 2018 with a simple idea: goalkeepers deserve an environment built specifically for them.
What began as specialized goalkeeper training in the Bay Area has grown into one of California’s largest private goalkeeper academies, working with hundreds of goalkeepers each year across youth, academy, high school, college and professional levels.
Today, GGA provides private training, small-group development, elite college and professional environments, camps and clinics across California — all connected through the same goalkeeper-specific development philosophy.
Our goal has never been simply to run training sessions. We aim to build an environment where goalkeepers can develop over years, challenge themselves at higher levels and become part of a goalkeeper community that extends beyond the training field.
FROM FIRST SAVES TO THE PROFESSIONAL GAME
GGA has worked with goalkeepers at virtually every stage of the pathway — from young players putting on goalkeeper gloves for the first time to collegiate athletes, professional goalkeepers, senior national team players and World Cup athletes.
That range is central to our academy. The same principles that build strong foundations in young goalkeepers continue to evolve as players progress into increasingly demanding environments.

GGA’s work continues beyond the training field. As the academy grows, we continue to collaborate with coaches, organizations and industry leaders on new approaches to goalkeeper assessment, performance testing and player development.
Our goal is to contribute to a better understanding of how goalkeepers are evaluated and developed — from youth development through the highest levels of the game.

Golden Glove Academy’s primary training network spans the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California, giving goalkeepers access to private, small-group, elite and specialized training across multiple regions.
Our training footprint includes the East Bay, San Francisco, Peninsula, South Bay, North Bay, Sacramento and surrounding areas, with locations in and around Oakland, Orinda, Piedmont, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Livermore, Hayward, San Bruno, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Marin, Sacramento and additional communities throughout Northern California.
With multiple training environments and an expanding coaching network, GGA is able to serve goalkeepers throughout the region while maintaining the goalkeeper-specific training standards the academy was built on.

BUILT IN CALIFORNIA. GROWING GLOBALLY
Golden Glove Academy’s expansion into Manila represents the next step in the growth of the GGA network, bringing our goalkeeper development philosophy to the Philippines while creating new opportunities for players and coaches on both sides of the Pacific.
For athletes within our U.S. network, GGA Manila creates opportunities to train while traveling, experience football in a different country, and participate in select international camps and destination training experiences throughout the Philippines.
The network extends to our coaches as well, creating opportunities to coach, train, play and gain experience abroad while remaining connected to the same academy and development system.
Whether it’s a dedicated training trip, a family vacation with goalkeeper training built into the experience, or one of GGA’s planned destination camps, Manila gives our community another way to experience the game beyond California.
